Farrah Renfroe

15, Researcher and Graphic Designer, Collierville HS, TN, she/they

Hello Hello! I’m Farrah and I'm a 15 year old located in Tennessee. I initially got involved in this movement after the death of Micheal Brown in 2014. After the blatant racism black people are experiencing in this country, I wanted to make a change in this country. As i’ve gotten older and more experience, I started an instagram after the horrific summer of police brutality and blm protests in 2020. For the past year, i’ve been fighting for the liberation of poc lives in America as well as LQBTQ+ rights and the freedom of Palestine. Young people’s voices need to be heard and valued in this country and that’s why I joined this organization.

Nayana Bhuvanesan

15, Host, London, she/her

Hey everyone! My name is Nayana, I’m a 15 year old from London and I'm a Podcast host for AOY . I was born in India and I immigrated to the UK when I was 4 years old just before I started school. I think my passion for activism grew during the Brexit era, where I saw widespread systematic racism against immigrants such as me skyrocket. This was when I really started to educate myself on social issues and formed opinions on the issues happening around me. I think that education is so incredibly important to me, and talking about issues that I feel connected to, such as immigration, racial injustices, SA, feminism and LGBTQ+ rights, is how I can truly make a difference.

I work as the podcast director for this organization, and I’m excited to work with AOY because I have always been an avid supporter of equality. Vocalizing information about gender roles, racial issues, and sexual identities is crucial to me and relevant in society.

Shraddha Deepak

15, Host, North Gwinnett High School, GA, she/her

Hey, y’all! I’m Shraddha, a sophomore at North Gwinnett High School. I was born in India, but I immigrated to the US in 3rd grade. I grew an interest in activism and politics during the Trump presidency, when I started to witness “the wall'' go up, physically separating families and mentally dividing the country. I started to educate myself even more during the 2020 election and became a lot more involved in my community. I joined this organization in hopes of using my voice to uplift and inspire youth around the world to take action, because you can make a change no matter your age.
